I was very disappointed in DJ Christi J for my wedding. I took a lot of time to complete the Powerstation DJ Questionnaires that went into detail regarding what kind of music I wanted played along with any dedications or announcements. I didn't hear any of the songs I requested during dinner or dancing. She didn't play songs in the genre of music we wanted which led to a majority of our guests leaving the dance floor throughout the night. Christi would continue to play the entire songs from start to finish instead of mixing them together. Throughout the night many of our guests had expressed that DJ Christi J did not read the room well when selecting music. She also didn't announce any dedications for particular songs which we had discussed prior to the wedding as well as listed in the questionnaire. She didn't announce the centerpiece giveaways and left us to pack all the centerpieces after the reception which is also something listed in the questionnaire. I am particularly disappointed as we'd discussed these things as well as what we wanted to have played prior to the wedding. DJ Christi J was late to our final appointment (a 15 minute meeting phone call) and it was clear she was not prepared to discuss our answers in the questionnaire. She was not responsive with texting while we were making updates. We do not believe that she was very professional and would not recommend her for anyone's wedding. It is a shame we had invested so much money into her services.

Heather Colt/Heather Wirsing is the Director of Photography yet provided us with poor customer service and poor quality pictures. My husband and I spent over 5k on wedding photos only to be sorely disappointed in the final result.

The day of our wedding, Heather was extremely bossy and rude to our wedding party--and we are all adults in our 30's with professional jobs who were sober. Heather treated us like we were kindergarteners who couldn't follow directions. She told my groom to drop the flower he bought me because "I wouldn't like that." She wasted so much time on irrelevant detail shots-there are 35 pictures of my dress, shoes, rings, accessories but only 17 of me actually getting ready-and very few of them contain my bridesmaids. She acted inconvenienced when asked to take pictures of my niece and nephew with my mother. We wanted and discussed relaxed poses that would express who we are as a couple-instead we got the same boring and cheesy industry standard poses. It is apparent that it's all about Heather and less about what you want once you pay the balance.

The pictures we received are awful. There are a lot of out of focus and crooked shots. There are shots were it's obvious photoshop was used and we were photoshopped in. There are zero pictures of my face during our first look, first dance and introductions. There aren't any pictures of our guests taken during the ceremony and from what we do have from the reception , it's the same 15 people. For one of the family portraits, the mother of the bride and mother of the grooms heads are cut off. For a "Director" level, the quality is disappointing. For what we paid, we expected a lot more.

Recently we discovered that Heather had photographed a PowerStation employee's wedding the day before ours so it's apparent that unless you know someone or work for PowerStation, they could not care less about your wedding or how much you paid.

But at least I have 35 photos of inanimate objects to remember my wedding by.

Updated to add that in dealing with the owner, one can see why the Director of Photography is such a horrendous bitch. The owner is overly sensitive to criticism and would rather bully, harass and intimidate an unhappy customer. I was threatened with legal action, told that my complaints were not valid and my pictures are beautiful and contain artistic license. Buyer beware.

DJ was overly loud, especially during announcements. Loud is usually ok, but they don't seem to know their crowd, the songs or the venues. I've been to several events that were almost identical. The songs seem to be the same order every time. I believe they just hit play, turn it to 11 and stand there.

We worked with Powerstation for our August wedding hosted in our backyard. Because of COVID a couple DJs we originally contracted were not able to make it. Powerstation was determined to provide us with a DJ who matched our personality and needs. We ended up with Rich and he couldn't have been better. He even stayed late and played only songs we picked out per our request. We had so much fun and were happy rich was part of our party!

Since we got married at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, we were actually required to use Powerstation Events if we wanted a DJ for the wedding since they have an exclusive relationship with the venue. While we might have otherwise been put off by that requirement, Powerstation proved themselves to be so fantastic from Day One that we didn't mind one bit. Their prices were fairly reasonable for the quality and extent of the services they provided, and considering how critical a DJ is to the success of the wedding, it was well worth the investment.

We were fortunate enough to have Jon March as the DJ for our June wedding, and we could not be happier with the job that he did. Leading up to the event, we asked for so many specific and particular requests, and he didn't bat an eye with any of them. Basically everything we asked him to do was executed flawlessly. He had wonderful energy for our crowd and was not afraid to have fun! We loved getting to plan with him and have him with us for the entirety of our wedding day.

Jon's positivity, passion, and friendly demeanor were evident from start to finish of the wedding planning process and even well after the big day was over. From our secret surprise choreographed dance piece from "The Artist" to gracefully clearing out the entire reception room for our own private final dance to making our ceremony music go off without a hitch, every single element of our wedding went smoothly thanks to him. We cannot thank Powerstation enough for doing so much to make our day perfect!

We had Frank from Powerstation for our wedding DJ on 12/28/18 and he was awesome! So friendly and very easy to work with. We provided an extensive list of songs we definitely wanted to hear during dinner and dance (100+ songs) and he put together a list that flowed and matched the vibe of the night. Frank respected our "do not play" list and also took requests from guests if they flowed with what he was playing and reflected the type of songs we had on our list. He checked in with us regarding volume which we appreciated. You can tell Frank didn't just put together a prearranged list, press play, and sit back the rest of the night - he really was working the entire night; being very attentive to how the night was progressing and in what direction he should go next for a song choice. Everyone was on the dance floor for a solid 4 hours straight which is exactly what we wanted! I absolutely recommend Frank as your wedding DJ!

I didn't even book the DJ, but he was so good I had to write a review. I am not familiar with the cost or ease of dealing with Powerstation, nor where they operate. This review is solely of DJ David Rossi.

David worked a wedding on 9/26, and was absolutely the best DJ I have ever seen. Many of the wedding guests were fond of Latin music, and dancing to it, and the DJ kept them on the floor most of the night. He mixed in the kind of music you want to hear and expect to hear at a wedding, of course. Mixing was very good, and he was himself highly amusing. He danced and lip synced along with basically everything.

He was charming but did not insert himself too much into the normal reception activities, including toasts and father/daughter and mother/son dances. There were no props, and no embarrassing competitions, or anything like that. I would hire this man in a second for any event.

Powerstation was recommended to us by another couple who had used them for their wedding and we were also very impressed! The initial meeting with them to select a DJ was incredibly personalized so we only saw DJs that catered to our style and music taste. We were impressed that they had multiple backup plans-for bad weather, emergencies, sick DJs, you name it, they have it covered. We selected Christi J and she KILLED it. We had the pleasure of seeing Christi DJ two weeks in a row as our friends had selected her for their wedding the week before as well. Christi was amazing at both but she was completely in her element at ours and honestly neither of us could remember her playing a single song we didn't like. She took our suggestions, but added her own spin to it and as a result almost all of our guests were on the dance floor through the entire night. We enjoyed seeing her have fun doing it as well! They were also very flexible with us needing to add items on to our package only a few weeks before. Highly recommend Powerstation and Christi!

I STILL DON'T HAVE MY PICTURES!
We had them for our wedding and used them for our DJ, lighting and photographer. We went there a year before our wedding and watched videos of all the DJs and since they only had 3 photographers, we had to pick whomever was available the night of our wedding, which was only one woman.
We paid them right away and that was it, they never contacted us in anyway, I actually had to call them and set up an appointment 2 weeks before my wedding because I had never meet my photographer or my DJ and I though we should meet and figure stuff out before the wedding. They are imposable to get in touch with! You can only email a "web master" who will then relay the message to someone else, never the person your working with.

Photographer PAM: I asked her the night of the wedding how long it would be until I would see some of the pictures, and she told me "1 month". 10 weeks later and no pictures, no previews, no phone calls or emails. I tried to email/call her, and it took 1 week just to get a response.

Week 5:she told me i would get them "very soon"

Week 12 week: I finally got a preview of my pictures, which was great, but I couldn't print them/send them etc. in the format they were in and with the watermark they had on them.
Since I had paid for all of my pictures I asked when I would get them sent to me... answer 1 week.
Its been 16 weeks, and I'm sorry, maybe you shouldn't take on jobs or my money for that matter if you can't produce what you say you can in a reasonable amount of time. I have called many times to ask the status of my pictures and I have never received a follow up email or call giving me a better idea of when to expect the DVD of the photos.
I still have nothing to show for the thousand i paid for my pictures, because I don't have them!

WARNING!!!!! Power Station has nothing in its contract saying how long this process could potentially take, they just keep taking in suckers and their money. I would never go with this company ever again. They are to cookie cutter and have no feelings for their customers and the special events that they "help" with.

On a positive note: DJ DAVE S. and lighting: Both were actually very well worth the money and I can't complain about them, they both worked out well.

My husband and I used Powerstation Events for our October wedding and we could not be happier! Chris and Hannah were so professional and easy going! They both got to know my husband and I as individuals and not just another job. They took the time to find out what we wanted and were looking for. They helped us make decisions and kept us on task all day! Chris kept the dance floor full and played perfect songs for the guests. He went out of his way to accommodate us and made sure we were happy every step of the way! My brother wanted to play his guitar for me wlking down the aisle, Chris actually talked to my brother and made sure everything was ready for him to play. that meant so much to us! Hannah is so talented and such a sweetheart! With Pinterest being such a huge part of the brides life these days, she actually started following me on Pinterest to see what photography interested me and what feel I was going for! She kept all of my wedding party and family members in line and moved quickly so no one had the time to stray away! We were so fortunate to have the pleasure of them capturing our wedding!
