Our Athletic Training team continues to work hard to provide a standard of care and an environment that Athletic Trainers want to be a part of. Our model is being sought after by more school districts and leads to opportunity for the Athletic Trainer to join the team that works for you and supports you to be the clinician you want to be and enjoy doing it. Dave and Joe were in Southington this week and wanted to express how Athletic Trainers collaborate to make them better Physical Therapists in the clinic! Our PTs and ATs collaborate through team continuing education and clincal discussions in spaces we create intentionally to grow and challenge each other as clinicians to ensure the most comprehensive care to our patients in the clinic and our student-athletes at our schools. Athletic Training tends to be an "Iceberg" profession where you get to see a snippit of what they do on a sideline compared to what 90% of the care and support they provide. Here is a a highlight from Joe and Dave on how our Athletic Trainers help our Physical Therapists provide better care to their communities. #NationalAthleticTrainingMonth #EducATe #CelebrATe #AdvocATe

Happy last day of National Athletic Training Month on our opening day of spring sports games! If you're out at Woodland today for baseball, softball, and tennis..you'll see Jesse taking care of all of the student-athletes! We met Jesse Wylie after his 22 year tenure at Maloney High School and knew we got lucky to cross paths. Jesse has grown into our athletic training team from a "helping hand" and become a staple of a "go to" for our team and communities we serve. Anyone that comes in contact with Jesse, knows they received the best care and have seen the utmost professionalism throughout the process. With the experience, skill, compassion, and dedication - our clinicians, student-athletes, and communities are for sure in good hands with Jesse. #NationalAthleticTrainingMonth #educATe #advocATe #celebrATe

Meet Julia! Julia Franzik is a welcomed addition to the team and serves the Platt high school community as their head athletic trainer. She was a standout basketball student-athlete for Sheehan and Lasell College who looks to bring the same safe and positive environment she experienced to her community. We are super lucky and grateful to have her part of our Advanced Physical Therapy clinician team! #NationalAthleticTrainingMonth #AdvocATe #EducATe

Meet Cait! Caitlyn Minardi LAT, ATC serves as head Athletic Trainer for Terryville and Thomaston Athletics. She is a "full steam ahead" individual with a passion for delivering comprehensive medical care to the community and for advocating other communities to have the same. She most recently traveled with Thomaston girl's basketball to the state championship at Mohegan Sun to ensure they had the best care possible at their pivotal moment - but if you ask her, it's the day-to-day work as an Athletic Trainer and the relationships you build along the way. Thank you Cait for what you do for everyone.....all the time! We are certainly lucky to have you as part of the team! Want to know more about the team and their day-to-day? Still celebrating National Athletic Training Month...This week- get to know some of our amazing Athletic Trainers. First up.. Gyujin Kim, MSAT, LAT, ATC, CSCS. I met Gyujin three years ago and was amazed at her positive attitude across the board and her astounding drive to be the best clinician she can be. She had a dream and mission to be an Athletic Trainer as a student in South Korea - and she has never stopped working (and there is no pause in sight) ... Lucky to have her on our team and still be amazed at her drive, care, compassion, and all the things Gyujin brings to the world! Want to know more about the team and their day-to-day?
