Amazing. Picked up trays for a retirement party. Everyone raved about the food. Have used in the past and will use again. Also recommend for dining in.

The food was good and the service friendly. That said the restaurant was very noisy and was okay for a pub style place but the food would be better served in a nicer venue

If you are from the area, you will know of this gem that is a must stop-by after a round of golf or if you simply are in the mood for some delicious food! Have been coming here for years and I have yet to be disappointed.

I noticed the new additional renovations and additions to the restaurant - they've added more patio seatings and outdoor dining for those to take advantage of in good weather. You get a fantastic view of the tranquil river crossing by and the nice greens. I noticed they can also accommodate for large parties with a tent in the back of their lot in case you wish to host an event there. When we arrived we were given the choice of where to sit and the staff patiently accommodated us as we debated which table was best.

Once sat and attended to, our food came quickly. We tried the pasta a la vodka, chicken Parmesan and the signature JC burger. Their portions are more than enough and plenty to take home after if you do not finish. JC burger was served with a soft brioche bun, and I found it quite decent sized (everyone knows a place where they serve burgers bigger than your face's size). The pasta and chicken parm came with the option of soup or salad and we got to try both (clam chowder and house salad). Loved the food and can't wait to try more!

In my review, I forgot to mention, that our waitress, Melanie was fantastic. We had many questions about the menu, and she knew every answer. She made wonderful recommendations, and she was honest enough to say that we would probably enjoy this entrée more than that entrée. We asked her not to rush us and once she served the appetizers she didn't put the next order in until we said it was OK and she did that with each thing we ordered so we could spend lots of time just enjoying the meal and our conversations. The bottom line is we absolutely enjoyed not only what we ate, but the service we received. even though the restaurant is about 35 miles away we will be going there frequently.

Came here for dinner last night. Food was great, service was awful. Our waitress never came over to check on how our entrees were. She was bartending at the same time, and watched her take shots behind the bar. The only time she came over was AFTER we had been done with our food for a while and just needed boxes and a check at that point. Watching your waitress take shots behind the bar while you need something while dining is beyond unprofessional.

Went with some friends. Ordered the shrimp as an appetizer. It didnt come. The meal was served and I had the Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna (Excellent). Asked the waiter to get me soy sauce and wasabi. He stated that it comes with the meal. It came with watered down wasabi and no soy. He did go back and get that for me. At the conclusion of the diner I told him to cancel the shrimp. He brought it out anyway and said he was sorry and would "comp" it. He didn't but they didn't forget to add their 20% tip. Time before that ordered an entrée that was supposed to be sautéed with a butter/ wine/ garlic sauce. It wasn't. It tasted like straight up Beef broth., Disgusting. This place is hit or miss. You will either have good food and bad service or vice versa.

Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday with the family. 12 of us all together. We were seated for our reserved time on time. Drinks were ordered and came quickly. We placed our order and waited and waited. Server came out and apologized for the delay. We started with the burrata which was decent. Then the meal came. Both of the chicken parm grinders were unseasoned no mozzarella and the rolls were hard as a rock. The chicken wrap was missing the ranch dressing we asked for it twice it never arrived. I ordered the prime rib. It was cold. The fat was hard as a rock. Don't know when they cooked it but it wasn't the same day I bet. Sent it back. It came back after literally being microwaved.
The rest of the food was cool or cold. We will not go back ever.

The scuttlebutt has it that this establishment is a must-stop for those in the Naugatuck Valley. While not my first venture into this fabulous bistro-on-the-green, I am pleased every time I enter.

The owner is quick to regale you with his New England charm and if there is any issue with your evening out, he will always do his best to rectify the situation. The loquacious bar manager is a great mixologist and seasonal beverages are always available.

As far as the food goes, there's weekly specials as well as the general fare. Do yourself a favor and order the ahi tuna appetizer, you won't regret it. Despite being busy due to the proximity to Hop Brook golf course the servers are always cordial and helpful. When you take Naugatuck exits off of route 8 be sure to check out this gem.

I've often driven past here but never had the time or reason to stop by. One of my friends was playing here one night, so it was as good a time as any.

I dragged Writer Friend along with me, after having dinner elsewhere that evening. I had assumed that the entertainment would be in the lounge, but it ended up being in one of the dining rooms. The host/owner (not sure which) assured us that we were more than welcome to sit in there with cocktails, so that's what we did, selecting a very decent bottle of wine from their extensive wine list.

Luckily, it was a slower night so there was no demand for our table for diners. In fact, there were several other table who came in just for the entertainment. However, we learned, as we watched and smelled servers bring food to other tables, that we should plan eating where the entertainment is--everything looked delicious and plentiful. Next time we go there!

The best thing you can use to tell if an eatery, rest, pub, etc is a really good is if lots of people are there. We were there last Monday and the place was packed! Wonderful food (we had fish and chips) perfect! Due to the soggy weather, we sat inside and were nice and warm. But we had a great view of the deck and the amazing river view from our table! Will definitely be going back for lunch or dinner out on the deck soon!
